THEA STUDIOS are located in the municipal district of Pyrgos of the Municipality of Xylokastro - Eurostini of the Regional Unit of Corinthia, a semi-mountainous village with an altitude of 620m. which combines mountain and sea since it is only 10 km. from the sea - Derveni beach. The distance from Athens is 146km and the journey takes 1 hour and 45 minutes, while from Patras the distance is 87km and the journey takes 1 hour and 15 minutes.
The studios are set within a 10 acre estate, which has a professional swimming pool with a large lawn, a large garden with landscaped walkways and natural stone walls and all kinds of ornamental plants and fruit trees that create a wonderful landscape for both summer and winter. The visitor can experience the coolness of summer and the mild cold of winter, enjoying the environment created each season. It has an endless view of the Corinthian Gulf (balcony) and beyond that it faces the snow-covered Parnassos. The whole estate is a green environment with spacious paths for walking and fitness for sports lovers. It also has areas for children to enjoy playing safely and comfortably. THEA STUDIOS are newly built, constructed of traditional stone, which makes them elegant and perfectly in harmony with the natural environment. In their interior, they provide all modern facilities and full household equipment, so that the visitor has a comfortable and pleasant stay.
The location in which they are situated is a destination for all seasons, ideal to offer tranquility and relaxing stay to the visitor, combining at the same time the possibility for nearby or more distant excursions and activities.
In the centre of the village stands the imposing Kordi Tower, from which the village takes its name. It is a landmark of great cultural value which dates back to 1580 and has recently been restored and renovated, preserving the architecture of the era in which it was built, and has been classified as a historical monument. It is an imposing building, the courtyard of which is adorned with century-old walnut trees and a stone fountain. At the same time, the village offers a variety of routes and paths for walking, hiking and sports in a natural landscape full of plane trees, fir trees and pine trees, while the very pleasant climate with fresh air and coolness throughout the year including the winter months makes the stay even more pleasant. In the central square there are traditional cafes offering coffee, refreshments, local sweets and delicacies, as well as a barbecue during the summer months. There is also a mini market for the purchase of all necessary items.
At a distance of 8 km from Pyrgos, through a path of olive trees and pine forest, is the historic Zaholi of Corinth, with the beautiful Mill Stream, a natural gully with ponds full of trouts, waterfalls, wooden bridges, large plane trees and traditional stone fountains. At the edge of the settlement is the church of Agios Georgios, built in 1811, famous for its carved wooden iconostasis made from the timber of a huge cypress tree carried on its shoulders from the village of Pyrgos. Also, in Zaholi there are taverns with traditional flavours serving stews and dishes of the moment with local products, where visitors can find whatever they want to eat, all year round.
The routes from Pyrgos to Goura, Feneos, Lake Stymphalia and Lake Doxas offer wonderful images to the visitor. By travelling a slightly longer distance of 28km from Pyrgos, one can visit the famous and renowned Trikala of Corinth and the Ski Centre of Ziria, a quite popular tourist destination, especially during the winter months. In many of the aforementioned areas you will find activities such as horse riding and rafting.
Apart from the mountain excursions, Eurostini offers, especially during the summer months, coastal routes within walking distance. The beaches of Derveni, Lygia, Lycoporia and Xylokastro are famous for the crystal clear waters of the Corinthian Sea combined with the beautiful sunsets of the area.
