GALINI STUDIOS
Galini Studios are located in the seaside community of Paralia Platanos, in the Municipal Unit of Akrata Aigialia, in the Prefecture of Achaia. They are 6 km from Akrata beach and 20 km from Aigio. The distance from Athens is 150km and the journey takes 1 hour and 50 minutes, while from Patras the distance is 58km and the journey takes 50 minutes.
The studios are right next to the sea, where guests can enjoy swimming in a clean, unorganized beach with pebbles and crystal clear waters. They overlook the sea and have a large balcony and garden from which one can enjoy the sunrise on the Corinthian Sea and the beautiful colours of the sunset. It has an endless view of the Corinthian Gulf (balcony) and beyond it faces the snowy Parnassos. The whole property is a green environment with spacious corridors for walking and fitness for sports lovers. It also has areas for children to enjoy playing safely and comfortably. GALINI STUDIOS is newly built and has all the modern facilities and full household equipment, so that the visitor can have a comfortable and pleasant stay.
Along the beach, within walking distance, there are beachside fish taverns with traditional flavours serving stews and contemporary dishes with local products and mainly fresh fish, where the visitor can find whatever he or she wishes to eat. The evening seaside "promenade" offers beautiful images of the sky and the sea.

ACTIVITIES
East of the beach of Palatanos and just 5-6 minutes by car is the small town of Akrata which is known as Ano and Kato - Akrata Beach. Ano Akrata is dominated by the impressive square of neoclassical buildings where the local art gallery is housed and artistic events such as theatre and dance performances are often organized. In Akrata Beach you can find all kinds of shops for coffee, drinks and food, depending on your preferences, as well as lively clubs for nightlife.
West of Platanos Beach, a 10-minute drive away, is Diakopto, which is a great holiday resort. From Diakopto starts the famous cog railway Diakoptos - Kalavryta. The rare and picturesque train crosses the gorge of Vouraikos and through Zachlorou reaches the heroic Kalavryta, making a wonderful route that offers unique and intense experiences. On the route from Diakopto to Kalavryta, the waters of the Vouraikos River flow unceasingly between the high rocks and next to the rails of the serrated railway, in a magnificent landscape.
For those who wish, access to Kalavryta can also be made by road, through a route where the natural landscape dominates. In Kalavryta, which is only 45 minutes away from the studios and is ideal for a one-day getaway, you can visit the Monastery of Agia Lavra and the imposing monastery of Megalo Spilio, which is considered the oldest in Greece. Winter sports enthusiasts will surely know the modern ski resort of Helmos, where you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing, but also have fun at the parties and events organized there!
Also, from Platanos Beach the visitor can go to Zarochla, a beautiful village of the mountainous Achaia surrounded by plane trees, fir trees and pine trees. Around the main paved road are the picturesque, stone-built houses of the settlement as well as the taverns and cafes that it has. In a very close distance is the famous and charming Lake Tsivlou, which is surrounded by fir trees that offer a magnificent natural landscape, offering a unique experience of exploring nature on the shores of the lake.
Finally, east of Diakoptos is the capital of the province of Aigialeia, Aigio, which has a rich market and famous shops for food and entertainment for all tastes.
